Professor Reza Dana, M.D., Ph.D., is a cornea expert and ocular immunologist. He is the Claes Dohlman Chair in Ophthalmology, the Director of the Cornea Service and leader of a translational research program at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, and a Senior Scientist at the Schepens Research Institute (all Harvard Medical School, Boston, Massachusetts, USA). He studies the molecular and cellular mechanisms of ocular inflammation with applications in autoimmunity, transplantation, dry eye disease, and angiogenesis. His talk will discuss the mechanisms by which the cornea actively regulates immune responses.
