FOR 2240 Retreat 2022 at Kloster Heidberg

On 30 and 31 August 2022, about 30 DFG FOR 2240 scientists met for a retreat at the “Kloster Heidberg” in Eupen, Belgium. This was the first meeting in person since the beginning of the pandemic. The retreat was led by Prof. Claus Cursiefen, spokesperson of FOR 2240.

The aim of this meeting was primarily the long-term development of the individual projects as well as the whole research network. After the presentations, the scientists were able to exchange ideas informally during a joint dinner and enjoy an evening in the beautiful ambience of the restored monastery.

The “Kloster Heidberg” in Eupen, Belgium is located just over the German border near Aachen and offers great conditions for this type of events.
