Mert Mestanoglu wins best poster award @EuCornea in Athens

After two years of online conferences due to corona, this year the EuCornea Congress, organized by the European Society of Ocular and Surface Disease Specialists, was held again in presence. The event took place from 25 -26 June 2022 in Athens, Greece. The society is a non-profit organization that intends to promote the dissemination and exchange of scientific knowledge at the highest level in the field of Ophthalmology, especially in cornea and ocular surface disease.
Mert Mestanoglu, PhD student of the DFG research group FOR 2240 won the best poster award with his project “Comparison of Early Visual and Anatomical Outcomes of Repeat Descemet Membrane Endothelial Keratoplasty (DMEK) Following Primary and Secondary Graft Failure in Eyes with Fuchs Endothelial Corneal Dystrophy”. He presented in the area of “Corneal Transplantation & Keratoprosthesis“.
Mert Mestanoglu is a PhD scholar of German Academic Scholarship Foundation (Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes).
