SFB 1607 Launches Website and Celebrates TEO-C New Lab Location

We’re excited to announce the official launch of the SFB 1607 website!
You can now explore our research aims, project areas, and team members at www.crc1607.de. The new website serves as the central hub for all updates, publications, and events surrounding our collaborative research center, funded by the DFG.
But that’s not the only milestone worth celebrating – the Laboratory for Translational Experimental Ophthalmology Cologne (TEO-C) at the University Hospital Cologne, one of the main locations of SFB 1607, has officially opened its new doors. The new space is part of a translational research initiative in ophthalmology, designed to create closer links between fundamental research and clinical application.
On November 19, 2024, the lab’s relocation was celebrated with a festive opening. The new premises are located in close proximity to the Eye Clinic, offering modern infrastructure and upgraded lab facilities that will significantly strengthen the experimental work within SFB 1607. Researchers now benefit from optimized workflows and interdisciplinary exchange, supporting the SFB’s overall mission: to better understand immune responses in ocular diseases and translate scientific findings into innovative treatments.
We’re thrilled about these milestones and look forward to sharing more insights, research breakthroughs, and events on our new platform.
Stay tuned – and visit us at: www.crc1607.de
