Young Cologne Eye Researcher Dr. Karina Hadrian wins Prize of the DOG

The department of ophthalmology at the University Hospital of Cologne is very proud to announce that Dr. Karina Hadrian won the Sicca advancement award for research of the dry eye and surface disease of the eye of the BVA. This prize is awarded by Bausch + Lomb on the annual DOG Congress (www.dog.org).
Dr. Hadrian received the prize for her outstanding work ‘The influence of TonEBP on lymphatic and electrolyte homeostasis in the cornea’. Furthermore is Dr. Hadrian member of the FOR2240 Project “Myeloid cell function in corneal hem- and lymphangiogenesis” which is supervised and led by Dr. Deniz Hos and Prof. Dr. Sabine Eming.
