ARVO Meeting 2021: Strong presence of FOR researchers

ARVO is the largest organization for eye research and vision research worldwide. The virtual ARVO meeting 2021 took place in San Francisco from 1-7 May 2021. Researchers of the FOR 2240 were very active at this digital meeting: 19 FOR2240 members gave lectures or presented papers. FOR members were even present at Mini-symposia and Special interest groups (SIGs). Prof. Dr. med. Philipp Steven ran a special interest group (SIG) meeting about the topic “New-Perspective: Ocular Graft-versus-Host Disease is more than just another form of dry-eye disease” and presented results from his FOR research project. Prof. Dr. Claus Cursiefen talked a mini symposiums on the topic “Longer and better vision after corneal transplantation for patients: From bench to bedside” and gave a lecture on “Immune Reaction after Modern Lamellar versus Conventional Penetrating Corneal Transplantation”.
