Cologne eye researchers take the cake at DOG 2015

A staggering number of prizes were awarded to young Cologne ophthalmologists at the Sicca symposium held in Berlin during the annual meeting of the German Society of Ophthalmologists (DOG) on Friday, October 2nd, 2015. Five of the fourteen talks and three of the five projects that were selected for an award went to scientists from the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Cologne. Selected for a project award were Dr. Franziska Bucher, Dr. Sebastian Siebelmann, and Dr. Bo Jing, all young investigators working in projects directly related to the DFG-funded research group FOR 2240. The prizes of the “Dry Eye” section organized by the Professional Association of Ophthalmologists in Germany (BVA) were sponsored by Bausch + Lomb|Dr. Gerhard Mann GmbH.
